The Poster Design Project in Collaboration with the BU|CDIA Photography Department Graphic Design is a visual language used to resolve communication problems. Designers develop images, words, and in some cases, an integration of both to represent the ideas and objectives their clients wish to communicate. Images and typography can be powerful and stimulating tools and avenues of communication. Design solutions can not only achieve their informational goals, but transcend those objectives and convey moods and emotions that create a more lasting impression to it's targeted audience. In the Graphic Design Department at Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts  design students create a series of posters based on a subject matter of their choice. The design students will then work with the Photography Department (Director, Randall Armor) students in their Studio Lighting class on the final designs of their posters. The above samples contain all design and photographic elements created on-site at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
