Web designs, additional design investigations and adherence to branding standards for the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts (BU|CDIA or CDIA). The school focused on career-oriented education with emphasis on the fields of digital filmmaking, photography, 3D animation, graphic and web design, audio production and web development. The school was an extension of the Boston University College of Communication and the center’s certificate programs and workshops were designed to complement the College of Communication’s degree programs.
Initial Web Design Investigation
After initial designs were presented and reviewed, Boston University put out a statement with updated branding guidelines for all their affiliate institutions including CDIA. The guidelines also included standards for website designs. This meant another round of design investigations. Fortunately, the functional aspects of the original design phase (videos, side boxes, etc.) did not have to be discarded.
